Wallpaper

Art Deco, vintage, rich color and French chic. The right wallpaper can change the aspect of your home, quick restyle with extreme results. Enhancing femininity and self esteem. Today with the dress I am wearing a feel a little bit like this, I am ready to  dare a bit, without loosing glamour.

I am so happy of this purchase. a dress that without ruining your wallet, it makes a statement. Pimp it up with a cute necklace. a ring, a nice bracelet and you have an outfit perfect for every occasion, from a chic night out with a pair of stilettos to a cozy day with friends with a pair of biker boots. Plus, I maintained the promise to buy something a little bit more colorful for this winter,  at least now my closet is not anymore only black, grey, white tone!

Pick a Color..November

Hello!

Back with the monthly agenda! Is it winter yet? I am starting to think Christmas, decorations and gift lists.. Here the streets are already illuminated by Xmas lights, but It is not weather yet for a white holiday!

What is my color of the month? Looking outside at the window today, November is for sure grey!

“Gray is the color of intellect, knowledge, and wisdom. It is perceived as long-lasting, classic, and often as sleek or refined. It is a color that is dignified, conservative and is considered a color of compromise, perhaps because it sits between the extremes of black and white. Gray is a perfect neutral, which is why designers often use it as a background color.”

Here a selection of sweater I choose for you!

Seasonal Mushrooms

Smoke coming up of the chimneys, foggy window, candles and soft music.. all great sight that it arrived the season we all enjoyed to stay home, lie in the couch with a warm blanket … perfect for a nice homemade soup to warm us up!

I love mushroom and as this is the season, I went to the local market and purchased a variety of fresh ones, regular champions, shitake, chantarelle and coming home I was already thinking how to cook them, I could already smell their flavor!

Few weeks ago I went in a nice French restaurant and as welcome starter the owner gave us some mushroom soup, it is amazing, so to continue my experiment in the kitchen I decided to cook it myself.

What you need:

600 gr of mushroom (different types)

a bunch of dried porcini mushroom

vegetable stock

onion

salt and pepper

bunch of parsley

mascarpone (optional to be used at the end)

How to proceed:

First of all place the dried porcini in a small bowl and pour boiling water and leave for a couple of minutes. In the meanwhile take a pan, add olive oil and chopped onion, once the onion start to get gold , add the mushroom previously sliced. Mix and add the dried mushroom and the soaked water, leave it to cook for about 20 minutes. Keep cooking and add slowly the vegetable stock and if needed some extra water. Bring to a boil, add the parsley and if you like some mascarpone to give some texture to the soup.

This recipe is quite simply, but being the first time I tried it, I did not want to “go crazy” with some complicated long recipe.

As a true Italian, I love to serve this with some warm crostini.

I am so sorry, but we were so hungry that we ate it without even taking a picture.

Enjoy!

Going back to accessories

Good Morning!

Nature is my biggest inspiration, the energy that Vitamine D gives me is something inexplicable. I am definitely not a designer and I do not have the creativity to be one, but I highly appreciate when something is handmade. On the other hand I can be a great fan, when I like a collection, i keep following the designer to discover the most up-to-daate articles!

Trincar Uvas is the perfect example.  Coming from Portugal, deeply inspired by tribal and folk arts & crafts trincar uvas jewelry uses simple and ancient materials and techniques. Most of the pieces are one of a kind or made in a run of very small editions.

The other day walking into my friend’s store I discovered she starting a new project called Wandering Nubula, a collection of t-shirt and jewelry and I surely purchased mine. A versatile collection, a true necklace for everyone, a touch of light blue and aqua gemstone to bring some color hanging in a brass chain. This is the perfect gift even for that friend that does not use jewelry. I am already a proud owner of 2 necklaces of the previous collection ( I will write a post about them very soon), but for now check out her page on Etsy and get amazed!

Wrap up Scarf

My dears hellooo! Weekend again, yuppie ))

Here in Amsterdam, we definitely skipped the fall season and we entered in full power into winter… the weather became really chilly this week and it is time to officially take out of the closet all the winter gear. Are you ready?

Probably you don’t know, but I am crazy about scarves.. even in the summer time I always have a light one hidden in my purse, so not to go against my “trend” yesterday I went for a walk and I was feeling really cold, I therefore entered in the closest shop I found and I bought a cute, warm, wool scarf by Selected Femme.

According to this year trend in check prints in my favorite colors of the moment, shades of green and pink!

So, it is all for now, let’s wrap up and go out to enjoy the Saturday!IMG_0982 IMG_0984 IMG_0912
